Notes: This is a thoroughly adequate SBD of another strong Europe 72 show, which people seek because of the long Dark Star. It begins with an extended 20 minute or so intro followed by a drum and drum/bass interlude which occur somewhat frequently in 1972 but never with impressive results. Bathroom break? The Star then continues with ensemble playing with numerous teases of possible tunes, but without any commitment by the group. Truckin' and Caution teases especially stood out for me though you will hear others. Eventually they segue into Sugar Mag > Caution with a brief "Who Do You Love". The Caution/WDYL are rather short compared o other E72 versions. The Truckin' that concludes the jam is without significant jamming ala' 5/26/72. This section of music has well mixed sound and is an interesting example of how they signal to each other where they want to go next. [11/4/2004]

Notes: sbd - w/ encore and no splice in IKYR. Most complete as of 9/2002. [2006-02-24] Very clear sound, nice mix. Starts off with PITB (only happened one other time in 72 on 4/29). Continues the very professional executed playing from the night before. Good Lovin' is excellent, esp. like Bob's rhythm work. Dew has some minor bits of diginoise at the start. The setlist this night is very similar to 4/29/72. The heart of set 2 is a Star > Mag > Caution. This Star starts out nicely but eventually meanders around. It attracts attention because it is supposed to be the longest (but it has a drums segment inside). The 4/29/72 version is better. The Caution here is nice with some TOO teases around the 3-4 minute mark. The Truckin, Who Do You Love and follow on songs are typical but short and to the point. Porbbaly you should hear this once but there are better shows from the tour that will displace this one from your frequently played list.
