Notes: | Genealogy: MR > DAT > CDR > SHN > CDR > SHN > shntool > FLAC; SBE fix of shn id 13399 [2007-05-09]STandard high quality mix and sound on this source. Set 1 dispatches the standard 77 material with near phonocopy precision. Set 2 continues marching along with a Scarlet > Fire that entertains but doesn't leave lasting impressions of greatness. This amnesia continues for Estimated -> He's Gone-> Drums. The ensuing TOO contains some improv but it too is so perfectly paced and played that its difficult to get emotionally attached. First indications that the band are not mere technically adept robots appears in the reprise of TOO out of Wharf Rat which in turn segues into The Wheel - a most welcome tune too rarely played. Alas, its another Around&Around after that. Fans of 77 will enjoy this. From LMA "Wharf Rat is such a melancholy tune. Somewhat romantic, but very melancholy. Its so sad to think of a guy spending half his life in jail for someone else's crime and the other half stumbling around drunk on burgandy wine." Star Wars opened on this date? ....The music between the Other One > Wharf especially is unique and at times Jerry playing solo." | |||||
