IMHO, it would show appropriate support for a band that is so generous with their copyrighted material for parties interested in this show to buy/already own a copy of 'Steal Your Face' as well. 'Steal Your Face' songs and dates, From Deadbase: 10-17 Casey Jones 10-18 Sugaree, BIODTL, Ship of Fools 10-19 Miss. 1/2 Step, El Paso, BT Wind, Big River, US Blues 10-20 CR&S, Around, Roses, Promised, Stella </soapbox> From: David A. Finney [[email protected]] Sent: Friday, April 21, 2000 7:26 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Hosting Request gd74-10-20 I just got this show from the Frank's Picks round 4 tree. This date has apparently not yet been circulated on etree, so I'll upload it to your site if you'd like it. The tree also included 10-18 and 10-19, but these seem to have been circulated already. If anyone feels that these copies should be cuirculated as well, I'm happy to oblige. from the web page (http://frankspicks.org/fp4_Source_tape_info.htm): <snip> From: Rob Bertrando Date: Tue, 14 Mar 2000 17:17:22 -0800 Subject: Oct 1974 Winterland AUDs The best sounding AUDs of this run (all 5 nights) were made by Charles Conner (sp?), using a Sony ECM-22P into a highly modified Sony mono portable. There is occasional wow/flutter, but the frequency response is great, and the hiss low. I started the distribution of the "audiency"-sounding SBDs of the last three nights, in late 1976. They came to me on cassette, from Jerry Wexler's (of Atlantic Records fame) son or nephew, I forget the exact connection. I and about 4 others copied them to reel at that time, and copies have flowed since. Much more recently, SBDs of the 16th and 17th have surfaced, without the audience mix. I don't know if anyone has similar mixes of the last three nights for trade or listening. </snip> [email protected] | |||||
