Notes: "Animals" Tour I was at this show!!! The gates opened at like 7AM for a dusk show so there was an all day party in this huge stadium with a crowd of around 80,000. At dusk, a roar emerged from the distance, growing louder and louder. Suddenly, a Boeing 747 jet airplane buzzed the stadium, appearing from directly behind the stage and maybe only 300 feet above the venue though it seemed lower. The plane had taken off from nearby Burke Lakefront Airport. The roar of the engines was extremely loud, and as the jet disappeared, the band appeared onstage and launched into "Sheep." This was the coolest show beginning I have ever witnessed!!! I heard a few days later that the band got into trouble with the FAA for this stunt and was banned from ever doing it again, though I cannot confirm that. Disk 1: Set I: 1. Sheep 2. Notes: Pink Floyd: Live at Municipal Stadium Cleveland, Ohio 25Jun77 [46] Re-mastered by Danalog and re-released by Man of Leisure Music (MoLM) -- August '03 Sound Quality: EX- Sourced by Rudy Cruz. Artwork by John Gallagher. The very low generation source copy of the master tape ran a bit fast and had some high end hiss. Re-mastering included speed-correction, knocking out most of the hiss and pulling out a tad more bass. As he did with most 1977 concert tour dates, Roger shouts "forty-six" after the second verse of Pigs (3 different ones). The audience is pretty unruly, and this show has more than its fair share of "sit the @#$& down!" Oh well. MoLM had an earlier version that Danalog fixed up in 1999, but we recently traded for a much cleaner, very low generation source copy. Since the earlier version was never actively weeded out by MoLM, we are avoiding the 'revision 1' notation.
