This is a merge of two sources, by Spyder9 and Psycho Mule.
Thanks, both of ya, for the great sources.
Here's their mic info:
Spyder9:
Source: FOB > AT853RX-H > Denecke PS-2 > Denecke AD-20 >
Kimber OPT1 > Nomad Jukebox 3
Mastering: WAV > Adobe Audition 1.5 > WAV > Totalrecorder 5.0 >
WAV > FLAC
Location: On the floor, in front of left stack, 10 yards out. Shot through
an old Irish wool derby, made in Donegal County, Ireland. :-)
Psycho Mule:
Source:Sony ESM-70P>Sony D7 (STEALTH)
DFC Balcony center Mic clamped to center lighting rack
Transfer: Sony pro75es>Soundforge6.0(16 bit @44.1khz)(record) no editing/resampling>CDWAV(tracks)>
Flacfront end level 8>FLAC
Known flaws: ***track 1 has 2 level adjustments
The Psycho Mule recording was much punchier, and much more full sounding.
The clarity of the leads and vocals left a bit to be desired.
The Spyder9 recording was flat, but with very clear vocals and leads.
I suppose the clarity is thanks to the wool cap, which filtered out a lot of room noise.
I'm also sure it's that same room noise that made Psycho Mule's recording so wonderfully full sounding.
Also, it doesn't suck that Spyder9's source was recorded from Marc Fucking Ford's side.
The result of the merge is a full, punchy recording with clear vocals and hot leads.
I did the merge with Adobe Audition, then converted to FLAC. Hope you all enjoy it.
