Notes: Bodenzord source - very good sound. Typically solid PLQ show. Passenger hot in set 1, NFA has weird dissolution at end. MOTM and the Intrada/Luna jams are introspective. Set 2 general tone is more cerebral (MOTM, Cryptical).
Matt Vernon (1/4.8) SHN / 3 A- B View
Notes: Floyd Meadows FOB Source - some crackle and channel drop outs. i've also learned that FOB at the Greek is not the best place sonically. Besides much crowd noise vs the OTS section, there is little pickup from the PA so the vocal/instrument mix doesn't sound as good as in the OTS section.[d1t1 3:50 "zip";d1t3 10:42 diginosie, 15:39 crackle; d1t4 overloading; d2t3 different location?; d3t1 static ~12:00; d3t2 7:15 static; d3t4 4:00 lost channel, 7:30 lots of distortion]
Matt Vernon (1/4.8) SHN / 3 B+ A/B View 5270
Notes: Schoeps CMC64 - minor skip d3t1 ~00:03, some nearby "clicking" d1t4 ~4:00, otherwise clear recording (taper section was opposite stage 1/2 up the seats in the bowl) but some audience chat occasionally. Listening to this show almost 2 years later (4/22/03) it doesn't sound engaging and thought the show at the time wasn't very good either - kind of introspective set list and, well, just not that engaging. The "Intrada" jam is ok. Overall - this is a good seed but it has a few small blemishes and the concert is in the bottom quartil of this tour IMHO.
