Notes: DPA 4011 mics - no flaws, good sound. Usually the shows in Denver are a step above the mean but this show didn't have much set flow nor any highlights worth singling out compared to the Warfield run a month earlier.
Matt Vernon (1/4.8) SHN / 3 A/B A- View 20668
Notes: Nak cm1000's via Brokenleg - nice clean sound, no flaws. This is the 4th source I've heard and its on par with the better ones - you'll have to decide what mics you prefer. This show has a smooth flow but no big highlights worth noting.
Matt Vernon (1/4.8) FLAC / 3 A/B A- View 20828
Notes: schoeps Markham - although i didn't do a super careful comparison, this might be the best sounding seed i've heard for this date. No flaws to my ears.
Matt Vernon (1/4.8) SHN / 3 A/B A- View 20825
Notes: MK-21 FOB - these guys came through, nice clear sound, negligible crowd noise, no flaws. This is definitely in the running for the best tape for this show.
Matt Vernon (1/4.8) SHN / 3 A- A- View 25484
Notes: Source : Audience Recording by Freddie G. Microtech Gefel M20 (cardiod). Nice clear sound, no distracting audience or flaws. Overall a show with good funky tunes - H2H, Shakedown, Loose Lucy, the ever popular (with me at least) "Keep On Growing". Overall smooth flow and an easy listen. [8/27/2004]

Notes: Setlist Comment: * Chris Robinson on vocals Recording Notes: FOB/ DFC, Recorded from in (F)ront (o)f (B)oard about 15-20 ft from stage (D)ead (F)ront (C)enter. Mics were in a hat at height of 6'3". Mics were "buffered" from the crowd by a group of taper friendly people so the recording is clear of close-in crowd noise. Conversion Notes: Track1 (jam) of set 1 has been Normalized, using Sound Forge (+4 db), to match the levels of the rest of the set. The first minute of Scarlet is at the original lower level but was unable to be adjusted without a change during music. The Normalization started and ended while no music was playing and isn't noticeable. You won't notice the Normalization effect.
