Notes: Amazingly, this complete show – a highlight of Billy’s career - was never professionally bootlegged. I’ve seen traders rate this one from “B” to “A+” most likely due to different master tape sources. This version was transferred in January 2002 by Bennett directly from his terrific master cassette that captured the original WNEW broadcast of the show. This show has always been one of my favorites and in February 2003 I finally got around to remastering it. Basically, I removed the WNEW station identifications (three), removed the inane disc jockey chatter (six instances!), fixed the transition between the cassette tape flips and boosted the volume as well as performed a few other minor edits. You can now enjoy the concert as it was meant to be enjoyed – without interruption.
