| Notes: | Aud/sbd - cotsman [2006-07-15] Listened to this an a long drive to San Bernardino. The sound quality of the snd portions is about as good as it gets. Excellent mix and rich tones. This is a very well played show too boot. Highlights - TLEO has a bouncy/bluegrass pickin' feel. Bird Song in the jam (if this had become a set 2 song) could have offered segues to TOO or Truckin'. PITB is a concise 15 minute version that doesn't suffer from any wankery. Set 2 has all upbeat songs starting with a China Cat > INYR, Jack Straw, Wave That Flag and a GSET with the Garcia wag-wah which I like very much. Truckin and the jam that follows is not cluttered, has only a few instruments playing at times exploring different themes until moving on to EOTW, finishing off with a short NFA > GDTRFB and OMSN. There are few wasted notes this night. On the must hear list for the gorgeous sound and superb March 73 playing. | |||||
