Notes: Nice clear FOB (some crowd noise not bad) after show gets going. Eyes/Favorite things played in a jazzy manner(+), but Phil's voice sounds strained(-). Some of the jams get a little too atonal when they disintegrate for my tastes (but I'm probably being picky). Nice bust out of Till the Morning Comes, Sititng on the Top of this World! New Potato Caboose and Cry > .. > Good Lovin great ensemble playing.

Notes: Boden master - excellent primo sound! Some audience chatter on celebration. ~7:00 of Til Monring Comes, spacey atonal jazzy breakup. Phil's vocals sound strained in Eyes. The Real Thing - introspective, Passenger lively as always. Set 2 opening Jam good synth by Rob, Blues for Allah tease before NPC, the latter has nice velvety guitar tone from Herring. Another Blues for Allah tease ~6:30 of Night 1000 Stars. SOTOW Rob's vocals and Herring guitar style good match for this song. ~7:00-7:30 of SOTM Dark Star tease and good Rob boggie piano solo. Crypt > Good Loving as I remember them. Cosmic Charlie was a nice way to close the show.
Matt Vernon (1/4.8) SHN / 3 A- A/B View 10104
Notes: schoeps MK4V - no flaws, but some balloon pops and chatter. when i listened to this source (5/6/03) i wasn't as excited about this performance as my first review. Highlights were still the bust outs of Sittin and Till the morning Comes but other songs in the sets seemed to squash the flow - Midnight Train, Celebration, 1000 Stars just aren't holding up to repeated listens for me.
