Comment
Both sets acoustic
It's doubtful the music on these tapes is from Golden Hall in San Diego. There is no evidence that this show took place. The tape of an acoustic show with this date is from an unknown small club show, possibly a July show at the Matrix or Lion’s Share, not from San Diego. See http://deadessays.blogspot.com/2011/03/hartbeats-july-1970.html for more information.

Notes: 2 discs- .shn 3 discs- CDR Filler:3 acoustic songs from SF 8/17/70 Notes/Flaws:According to Andy Lemieux, "the old version, which was often mislabelled MSR>DAT, was actually MSR>Cass. x 3>DAT>CDR. This new copy is a significant upgrade over that version." - t01 Candyman cuts in - t11 FOTD unfixable drop @ 1:55, common to this lineage, was patched over from the old source using Sound Forge Studio 6.0. EAC > SHN by Joe Jupille. Thanks to Andy Lemieux for the source discs! Part of The Music Never Stopped Project, May 2003.

Notes: A rather hissy show, with very distant vocals. Don't rule it out though, as you have a 2 set ALL COUSTIC show here, complete with David Nelson and Marmaduke. It's really beautiful stuff!!
