FM Broadcast WMMR - Main Point benefit show.

This was the premiere of Thunder Road (actually called Wings For Wheels at this time) and of both Back In The USA and Mountain Of Love.

Released on CD "The Saint, The Incident & The Main Point Shuffle" (GDR) and recently on CD "You Can Trust Your Car..." (Crystal Cat) with coloured artwork as on the LP "You Can Trust Your Car To The Man Who Wears The Star" (SODD & TAKRL). Stunning Quality on the CD; date may circulate mislabeled as 2/2/75

Notes: aka You Can Trust Your Car To The Man Who Wears The Star Born To Run was still six months from rock 'n roll history when The Boss and his henchmen settled into the Main Point on February 15, 1975. Recorded just over a year after You Mean So Much To Me and despite the dark violin harmonics and backing vocals of Suki Lahav (the first woman to break the E Street glass ceiling), this disc spotlights the leap from the sound of '74 to the blazing fearlessness of Born To Run. With Mighty Max manning the skins, the band raves up Born To Run, She's the One, Saint In The City, and the premiere of Thunder Road (known then as Wings For Wheels), Back In The USA and Mountain Of Love. If Bruce chose 'sucks to describe the preceding performance, I get to pick the correct adjective for this one. Possessed is clearly the defining word for these driven, haunted performances of Spirit In The Night, Saint In The City, New York City Serenade, Sandy and a thrilling E Street Shuffle. You kinda of get the feeling that he senses he knows he?s on the precipice and he seems more than ready to jump! You Can Trust Your Car. . . was one of the first Bruce'legs ever, cherished by collectors and long available on vinyl under the same title. On CD it is known as The Saint, The Incident and The Main Point Shuffle. By any name, it's a true keeper if ever there was one. -review from http://www.birdpages.purplenet.co.uk/magazine/allbootsbruce.htm CD 1 01 Incident On 57th Street 02 Mountain Of Love 03 Born To Run 04 The E Street Shuffle 05 Wings For Wheels - aka Thunder Road 06 I Want You 07 Spirit In The Night 08 She's The One 09 Growin' Up 10 It's Hard To Be A Saint In The City 11 Jungleland 01 Kitty's Back 02 New York City Serenade 03 Rosalita (Come Out Tonight) 04 4th Of July, Asbury Park (Sandy) 05 A Love So Fine 06 For You 07 Back In The U.S.A.
