Notes: | Good balance/mix for the sbd. Ok, its 69 so you get the usual "fix the monitors" banter. They play a bunch of Workingman's Dead stuff, and this sets the pace for the show. Best of set 1 is Hard to Handle which Jerry introduces as "Time to boogie". They really get down on the jam for this one. Mason's Children jam didn't seem to go with the actual song. Overall, the usual songs that rage in early 69 are played more relaxed. My disks also have St. Stephen > NFA. Interesting show of the group in transition, but not a must have IMO.

Notes: | sbd [2006-07-07] Nice sound and mix. Start of show has extended banter about the monitors and audio buzzing from some lights. The pacing of the WD tunes has reached their familiar state (relaxed, not rushed). Good Lovin' interrupted by someone from audience grabbing the mic. Might be the 1st SS > NFA and only the 2nd NFA in 69 (the other occurring a few days earlier). Mason's is jammed out and fairly in your face. Solid show, good sound, only down is no special jam to make this a must listen.
