Therefore, despite the presence of a minidisc device in this lineage there is no MD/ ATRAC compression. Patch to cover tape flip in t10 (3:07-3:23): From Boxx Vol. 2 bootleg: Silver -> CDR -> EAC -> Flac (via Ziggzz/dime) 1. Intro 0:42 2. Detroit Rock City 5:00 3. Cold Gin 5:15 4. Strutter 3:29 5. Fits Like A Glove 4:35 6. Heaven's On Fire 4:43 7. Under The Gun 5:08 8. I've Had Enough 4:02 9. I Still Love You 6:22 10. I Love It Loud 3:49 11. Creatures Of The Night 4:44 12. Love Gun 4:13 Total Time : [52:01] Editing: All samples x 150% (+3.52db) Fade at start and end. Removed a few (about 10) minor FM clicks using the Adobe Audition Click Removal tool. Patched tape flip at end of I Love It Loud: The bootleg version has some qualities that made it slightly problematic when it came to applying the patch: (1). It was slightly phased (listen in mono and notice some of the crispness disappear) And - compared to the primary source: (2). Stereo positioning is slightly different. (3). Muddier treble, and much less treble above 15kHz. All these issues are related, in that any transfer with incorrect azimuth on the playback device can cause all 3 symptoms, and any additional analogue generations would multiply the problem. Also: (4). The volume on the primary source more-or-less matches that of the patch source *at the beginning of the patch*, but the patch source was much louder *at the end* of the segment. (5). Slight speed difference. Unable to determine which of the sources is "correct" in terms of the volume, I adjusted the patch source (by decreasing its volume over the duration of the patch) so that it matches at both ends of the patch. In order to compensate for the change in stereo positioning, I delayed the right channel by a few samples. The change TO the patch source is barely noticable; the change FROM the patch back to the primary source is more noticable (it totals 16 seconds), and de-clicking was used to smooth the actual point of change. The patch was NOT speed- adjusted, but the actual difference in speed between the two sources is trivial (since this occurs during spoken section of the audio). Flaws: There are some Right channel (slightl) drop-outs at 3-and-a-bit second intervals during the first 10 minutes or so. These are presumably related to a mechanical issue on the master cassette. Physical evidence for this exists on the tape itself (looks like stretching on the sides). More noticable drop-outs at 1:13 into Love Gun
