Comment
According to the Who Concert File and the Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere books, The Who rolled into Minneapolis to play two shows - one full performance at 7:00 P.M. and a shortened 45-minute show at 9:30 P.M. A four day break would follow these shows before the Who wrapped up the tour playing in Los Angeles and San Francisco. This is the early show and is typical of Who shows during this first touring of Tommy. The playing is VERY tight.

Notes: Tom Farmer sent this date. He said that The Who played two shows that night. He writes: ?The shows were mindblowers. Daltrey's voice was shot, and so Pete had to sing nearly all of the songs, which was actually a very rare and cool experience. Poor Roger mainly twirled his microphone the whole night and looked miserable. Keith's drum set was set up over the Guthrie trap door (used for dramatic theater entrances) and so, periodically, he (and his drums) would move below, and above, the stage.?
