Notes: |
The November-14 performance
was one of Floyd's most unusual shows of their career. Roger especially
is in rare form this night. They do a rare performance of the instrumental
piece often called Corrosion (and the incredibly annoying and inaccurate
title Libest Spacement Monitor). This is one of only two CIRCULATING
performances of this piece. The other performance, is from 70-Nov-11
(Pictures Of Pink Floyd - TopSound). Following Corrosion is some sweet
Pict ranting by Roger and some nice atmospheric guitar and keyboards.
Roger does some more ranting before Set The Controls. He also does some
humorous bantering with the audience before the final piece. Prior
to Green, Roger does some more interesting vocal effects. The musical
performances are equally impressive. This is a must have show for any
Floyd fan of the splendid 1969-1971 shows.
This low gen DFA release is supposedly taken directly from the Master Tapes.
However, it is only slightly superior to the Grooving With A Pict release
from Hip Cat. However, unlike the Hip Cat version, this release maintains
the correct song order. |
