"The Recording: Ack... I spent 5 minutes on Slunt and 5 hours on the Manson set. I don't
like the end result. One of two things happened, 1) SPL levels were too much for the
CMC-8's or 2) Bass roll-off on the SP-SPSB-3 was not set high enough. Either way, this
means what.... bass distortion. Yep, that's right. It is still listenable, and people
say they like it a lot, but I just am not happy with it. The vocals sound great, but
the bass was so overwhelming at this show, it took a ton of work just to get it sounding
reasonable. Anyways, take it for what it is, as I am sure no one else in Albuquerque
taped it." |
