"Good (at best) audience recording with some cuts between songs
and during the intro for "Iron Man". This tape is very muted sounding,
due to the lack of high frequencies in the recording. Thankfully, there is enough
mid-range to keep this from sounding like complete mud! Sabbath is playing well
here at the beginning of their U.S. tour to promote VOLUME 4. Rare live renditions
of "Under The Sun" and "Wheels Of Confusion" make this a show worth seeking out.
In fact, this contains the only known live recording of "Under The Sun" from the 70's,
which is performed at a brisker tempo than the studio recording. Iommi's live arrangement
of his multi-tracked guitar solo is well executed, leaving us all to wonder WHY they
didn't play this song at more shows?" 325MB |
