Van provided these tracks for KKCY to broadcast as a New Year's eve special. The Orphanage material was actually broadcast on television (so videos of it do exist), and I believe that Yellow Cat used it as its source. The evening was hosted by Tom Donahue -- a local Bay Area radio personality -- and there are several quick interviews with Van throughout the CD. The backing band on the Orphanage tracks was Soundhole, a band from the San Francisco Bay area who backed Van up for two years in the early 1970s.
