Thela Hun Ginjeet Notes: "Wilson's Rig" is is 2 middle to higher end cardiod mics and 1 Crown PZM's run into a Mackie 1402 mixer and recorded on a Panasonic SV-3700 pro DAT. I have 2 foam-padded L-shaped metal brackets I made that can be attached to a pole and I frequently use them instead of a mic stand. I attached the brackets to pillars on each side of the room, about 40 feet apart and 30' straight back from the each main stack, and used one cardiod on each side of the room and one PZM for the middle channel. I put them all about 15 feet up in the air to limit crowd noise. I found a nice place up on the balcony where there was an AC outlet and ran all the mic cable up there. I used three 50 foot balanced XLR cables to hook it all up, and ran the cable in the air so it didn't get walked on. The show was transfred using EAC from a set of Mster CDs. Wilson has asked that I refer to his mic setup as "Wilson's Rig". This is becaue it is not a Schopes of Neumann setup that you normally see. All of the equipment requires AC power but because of his connections he is able to set the mics up in the best place. Once you hear this show you will realize just how much more important mic placement is over the mic brand. I am not sure of the name for Track 8. I had to figure out the setlist becaue I could not find one. I think it's the correct title but if it isn't pleae make the appropriate changes and e-mail me so that I can change mine as well.
