Support act: Vinx.

During this show on Sting's 40th birthday his voice was mostly recovered, but it had worsened considerably for the following night's show.
Driven To Tears was added to the set.
Early on in this show, Sting said something about the fact that he wished that his mom and dad could've been there.
During the finale Sting was joined by Vinx, Andy and also Special Beat, a British group which opened for Sting during a portion of the tour.
At the end of the show when Sting was out for his final bow, a heavy shower of confetti fell over the stage and the fireworks went off all around the stage shell.
The complete show was broadcasted on national radio and "pay-per-view" TV.

Notes: This is the liberated Italian boot "Live Cages" (Live Storm LSCD52607). The etree setlist is somewhat wrong for this boot; the correct setlist can be found at: http://www.seboots.com/ music/images/sting-livecages-b.jpg. Disc one is the 10/02/91 show of the "Soul Cages" Tour in Los Angeles, CA. Sting is recovering from laryngitis and lamenting the death of his parents but this is a fantastic show with some really interesting versions of his songs. During the finale Sting is joined by Andy Summers (a rare treat!), Vinx and Special Beat, a British group which opened for Sting during part of the tour. Disc two of this boot comes from the "Complete Chicago Sessions" boot that is also on my list under "Sting Compilations". It is the 1991 Timothy White studio sessions. It is fantastic but if you want this "Live Cages" boot I would recommend asking for the entire Chicago Sessions as disc two instead of just the 1991 sessions as per the original boot. Except for guests the lineup for both discs is: Sting (Bass, Vocals), Dominic Miller (Guitar), Vinnie Colaiuta (Drums) and David Sanchez (Piano). Thanks Lisa
