The good news is that both shows sound terrific - there is a wonderful depth to the music and the vocals and instruments are very well balanced. The bad news is that the soundboards for both shows are incomplete. The May 15th soundboard does not include the last part of "When the World..." and "Every Breath You Take." | |||||

The May 15th soundboard does not include the last part of “When the World...” and “Every Breath You Take.” The May 16th soundboard does not include the opening track, “Blackbird.” These remastered and complete versions contain an audience patch for the missing tracks. Also, although I usually don’t like to modify the music, I have made one minor change. The opening of “Purple Haze” is botched in a manner that is both awful-sounding and dangerous to perfectly good speakers and ear drums. I have taken the liberty of minimizing but not eliminating the offending passage. | |||||

Note that this is NOT the audience taping of this show that has circulated for so long, but a soundboard show! Sounds great, with vocals and instruments all clear and strong, though a little adjustment on levels help. Unlike many other of the shows here on etree, this disc DOES include then end of Bring On the Night/When The World Is Running Down. Unfortunately it is a splice with the audience taping so the sound is not nearly as good, but at least you get to hear the whole show! There is also another track after that: Every Breath You Take. A big thanks to Mike for his generous gift of this rare find, and keeping the music alive! | |||||
