Notes: Peter Gabriel World of Music and Dance (WOMAD) Festival Polo Fields San Francisco, CA September 19, 1993 Lineage: Unknown => DAT => CDR => EAC => Audio Alchemy Audio Cleaning Lab (for splitting track IDs) => CDR => EAC => FLAC The lineage is messy; however, there should be no errors despite the back-and-forth from DAT to CDR. I got this in trade in about 1995; this is a good matrix of an excellent audience recording and solid board tape, done during the era before audio processing software made it easier to blend sources. I can't imagine how much work went into this. I don't know anything about the mixing process, other than that the note that came with the tape says it is "68% soundboard/32% audience." Track Listing: (1) Come Talk To Me (6:56) (2) Steam (8:38) (3) Across The River (3:58) (4) Shaking The Tree (8:31) (5) The Blood of Eden (6:30) * (6) Solsbury Hill (4:27) (7) Sledgehammer (6:00) (8) In Your Eyes (11:06) * * w/Sinead O'Connor Total time: 56:08 Note: I'm not sure whether Sinead is present on the entire set or not. She sings the duet with Peter on "The Blood of Eden" and one can definitely hear her presence on "In Your Eyes." Total size (compressed): 321 mb Warts: * There is a brief dropout during the first minute of the show during the introduction. This can probably be edited out easily without causing much notice, but I figured it was better to leave it as is. * There is brief diginoise on my tape during the introduction to "Across The River." * The first few tracks have a little too much treble, but the mix resolves itself during the middle portion of the show. The last 2/3 of the recording are nearly perfect. This is a great (although too-short) nugget from the 1993 tour. Since this is a festival show, this is actually PG's complete performance. I really enjoy this one; I had completely forgotten I had it, and for some reason haven't really traded it much even though I don't remember seeing it on any lists. No artwork, sorry. Perhaps someone will create some. Enjoy!
