| Notes: | Chicago Greek Theatre Los Angeles, CA Aug. 11, 1978 FM broadcast **mp3 samples provided (as always) in the Comments section** Here's a must-have show for any Chicago fans out there. I know this one's been on and off the tracker a couple times, but the FLAC files included in this torrent come from when the show was shared by Abraxas2 back in Jan. 2006. I've got LOTS of Chicago shows, but my favorite among all of them is either this show or the '74 Louisville show. Terry Kath, the band's well-respected guitarist, had passed away on Jan. 23, 1978...so this show features their then-new guitarist, Donnie "Hot Licks" Dacus. In my opinion, Dacus brings A LOT of fire into this show's performance, and sadly I don't think he ever got his due with the band since he was living in Kath's large shadow. I was just re-listening to this show the other day and almost forgot HOW GOOD it is...don't miss it if you don't have it already! My thanks to Abraxas2 for the original share (as well as the other great Chicago shows he's shared with us in the past).
