From Deadlists.com: To judge by the tapes in circulation this is all one long electric Dead set. It was preceded by a NRPS set to make up the complete show. The tapes show DeadBase IX to be mistaken in placing a setbreak between Casey Jones and Dire Wolf. The opening few seconds of Big RR are clipped; this version has some novel lyrics. | Notes: | sbd via C Miller [2007-09-04]Another clear and full bodied late 1970 sbd. Worth a listen if for no other reason that there are so few sbd's with this sound quality. Jerry's playing seems animated and spunky. Band seems to have gelled into the pacing and delivery that will be explored in 1971. Mostly short standalone tunes sampling their 1st album (BIODTL, Minglewood), WD and AB. - Til The Morning Comes is good, shame that this was the last time it was played. GL (played at all 3 of these Legion shows I beleive) features some interesting Garcia jamming, hints of the lighter jazzy bluegrass influenced vs rock with no Pig rap to speak of. | |||||
