Source: Digital Audience: Recorded by Rob R 3 Nak CM 300's - All X-Y, with 2 CP4's (guns) and one CP3 (super Omni) direct to dat using a Tascam Porta 1 mixing board / mic preamp.This is another sector boundary error fixed version of the previous seed of this source. Shntool was previously run on disc-groups instead of sets. Applying shntool against sets gave diff md5s for 3 tracks

Warren Haynes played and sang on Hard To Handle, Sugaree, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, and Slipknot! onward. Joan Osbourne sang in Hard to Handle, Casey Jones, and Lovelight onward. Michael Kang played violin on Cumberland Blues, and played electric guitar & sang during Sitting on Top of the World as well as from Lovelight onward. Sound path: AKG c1ooos (hypercardiod caps)->samson mixpad 4->vxpocket v2-> cooledit 2k (2352-byte boundary alignment, normalization for hunter, minor clip fixes at end of show "climax" peak, two drops patched as detailed below)->shn via shn2k, verified w/ shntool Notes: Muchos kudos to Bob Clevenger (bobclevenger.com) for his assistance in fixing some signal drops where the vxpocket cable came loose from the laptop! The connector is fragile & easily disconnects, alas one of the downsides to the vxpocket card. Bob had his deck (a pcm-m1) plugged into the headphone output from the mixpad to his deck's analog input, which under careful inspection produced a closely matching signal that was spliced into the empty locations. The mix is rather monoaural due to the placement of the taper section.

Notes: Source: MultiTrack Digital Audience The mics: 2xU89i (hypercard) + 2xCMC6MK4v + 2xKM143 > MOTU 896 > Mac iBook the Motu 896 provided preamp and A>D for all six channels. Firewire to the iBook Recording Software: Digital Performer 3 Post Production: KM143's converted into a MONO track to use for Emphisis Panning (Pan left or right to show emphisis on who is taking a lead at the moment). Conversion: Shn's of each set of the final mixdown expanded and SoundForge 6.0 used for fades at beginning and end of each set and each cd. 9 seconds overlap between cd2 and cd3 on each side. Tracked with CDWave and verified with shntool. Tracking: I see that there has been some discussion on tracking this show.. a lot of noodling throughout the show... so, when I heard the voice of the next song take, that's where I marked it... I love the noodles going into.. not just out of. :) Mike Notes: Set one recorded 24/44.1k. Set 2 recorded at 16/44.1k due to space limitations.
