| Notes: | This is a very fun audience tape - it has some sonic blemishes but is worth hearing for sure. Don't let the sound rating put you off. The energy from the live show, the audience comments left me with a more enjoyable listening experience than the infamous Cornell show! A great time capsule from the Dead in '77. The NFA has some sustained nasty Garia fuzz tone for well over 5 minutes. Weir adds some feedback as a percussive beat near the end of this jam. Segues are very smooth. My only downgrade would be that the show has only the one lengthy segue section so the pacing is a bit choppy as they figure out what to do. This version has some cuts and channel drop outs. | Notes: | Jerry Moore via David Minches - a few sonic issues (one bad channel forced mono in a few places) but the show comes through. I think 5/1 and 5/3 are stronger performances but this is still a good one with a Terrapin encore. [2006-06-03] TMNSP, Bertha, Half Step are string points of set1, though there are lots of delays for equipment issues etc that make the set drag a tad. S>F>GL to open set 2 is good but not worthy of hall-of-fame status. FOTD is above average, a standard 77 Estimated follows. The SS>NFA(Garcia shreds for a long time near the transition into Stella) and is the highlight of this show. | |||||
