| Notes: | sbd - sound is good. Performance so-so. Set 1 had little enthusiasm. Pigpen on Mr. Charlie was good but the Smokestack Lightnin' didn't impress. Set 2 had a TOO interspersed with some cowboy tunes. Being a fan of the 4/7/72 TOO, I've been interested when they started to do this and this show is a good example of the abrupt transition MAMU > TOO. The TOO itself lacks the flow of good versions, being too dominated by dissonant atonal wankery. It is nice though when they pick up the Mexicali Blues theme before the song kicks in proper. Overall - just an ok show. | |||||
