Notes: | Show Notes * - Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds % - w/ Emmylou Harris # - Dave Matthews Solo ! - w/ Buddy Miller $ - Dave Matthews and Trey Anastasio --------------------------------------------------------- Source Info Taper: Eric Naylor Source: AKG 480/ck61 > Lunatec V3 > Tascam DA-P1 Location: 10th row, left stack, 15' stand, A-B mics Taper: Mike Vernal Source: Neumann KM140s > Lunatec V2 > Apogee MiniMe > iBook G3/700 > shntool Location: Section 3, Row J, Seats 1 + 2 --------------------------------------------------------- SHNs were decoded to wave and SF 6.0 was used to reassemble the tracks back to 1 long wave. Cool Edit Pro 2.0 was used to align & synch the AKG480 and KM140s. CEP2.0 used to adjust the volume for the center and LFE channels. Surcode CD Pro DTS was used to encode to DTS. -3db was NOT applied to the rear channels. Both of the AUD sources for the front and rear channels were left at their original levels. - Mixed by [email protected] - Shn conversion done by [email protected] 05-JAN-2004 - Artwork by [email protected] 300dpi - For best results print at the highest resolution onto glossy photo paper. Design for use with a clear slim double jewel case. --------------------------------------------------------- DTS-Audio-CD Info Front Left channel AKG 480/ck61 > Lunatec V3 Right channel AKG 480/ck61 > Lunatec V3 Center Mono Mix 50/50 Ratio -3db AKG 480/ck61 + Neumann KM140s Surround Left channel Neumann KM140s > Lunatec V2 Right channel Neumann KM140s > Lunatec V2 Sub/LFE Mono Mix 50/50 Ratio -3db AKG 480/ck61 + Neumann KM140 --------------------------------------------------------- Notes No known flaws. No edits, fixes or crossfades. Sweet. D1, D2 & D3 can be assembled seamlessly on longer media. Also noteworthy is that this uses 2 AUD sources taped in different locations. Other DTS's have utilized a SBD and AUD source. I really enjoyed how this came out and I hope you do too. Spectacular show. One of the most memorable concerts I saw in the last 10 years. The user should be ready (and aware) of adjusting the center and sub levels to suite their environment and to their taste. This is an earlier DTS creation and in later mixes I lowered the levels on both the LFE/Sub and center channels. --------------------------------------------------------- More On DTS Today's audio standards are moving towards multi-channel sound, like DTS and Dolby Digital. While the Audio-CD standard (Red Book) hasn't changed to accommodate these new sound formats, it is still possible to go around the specification and put a 5.1 surround recording on a regular Audio-CD. To play a DTS-Audio-CD you must connect your DVD/CD player via a digital cable (optical or coaxial) to your DTS Dolby-Digital receiver. It is not 100% sure that your receiver will recognize a DTS-Audio CD, so the first time you're trying to playback a DTS-Audio-CD you must do a test to determine if it can. Begin with the volume very low, start the disc and raise the volume gradually. NEVER listen to a DTS-Audio-CD through the analog audio outputs of your CD/DVD player. Burning Instructions Burn them the absolute same way you would burn any normal Audio-CD from .shn files. | |||||
