Notes: | Phish - 7-6-98 - Lucerne Theatre, Prague, Czech Republic 2 vcd-ready mpegs Video: Hi8>vhs>Sony DVMC-DA2>Pinnacle IEE1394 board>Studio DV 7>TMPGenc>mpeg Audio: Source: Schoeps MK4 (FOB; mics in a hat) > VMS IO2b > DA P1 (recorded @ 44.1) Lineage: Master Dat > 1st gen clone > RME 96/8 > Soundforge 5.0 > CD Wave > SHN via MKW > WAV > MPEG Audio via tooLAME. Audio credits: Transfered by Tim Rossi([email protected]) Thanks to Derek G. for the tapes Video courtesy of timberh0. Video and Audio merged by Itay Chamiel (aka etai/itay23, [email protected]), 12/2001. There are some slight cuts in the sound which correspond to cuts in the original video. BURNING INSTRUCTIONS: The following instructions are for those who wish to burn these videos such that they will be playable on a standard DVD player. (Instructions are for Nero, I don't know other applications.) 1. Start up Nero and request a Video CD template. Change the volume label to something other than "NEW". 2. Drag this text file into the upper pane of the VCD. This will include this file as a data file on the CD, which is good for reference (it has no effect on DVD playback). 3. Drag the "Title Set 1.jpg" (or set 2) into the lower pane. This will insert that picture as a title screen before the movie. Right-click, properties, and change delay to whatever you like (5 seconds is good, certainly don't leave it as "infinite"). 4. Drag the video MPG file into the lower pane. Let Nero verify the file (should take about 10 minutes). Burn the disc. Note: Although the file size on Disc 2 is a bit large, it still fits on an 80min VCD because of the somewhat more relaxed error correction of this format, which frees more space on the disc. Disc I Set I: Buried Alive > AC/DC Bag > Ghost# > Cities, Limb by Limb, Train Song^, Roggae, Maze##, Golgi Apparatus+ Disc II (needs an 80 minute CD) Set II: Julius > Meat, Piper > Makisupa Policeman*, David Bowie > Loving Cup E: Possum # Pause before segue into "Cities" (jam resumed right where it left off). ^ There is the small drop out that was on the DAT. ## Trey pauses (mid-jam) to thank crowd. + Trey plays the main riff in the wrong key for the first half of the song. * With very mundane drum solo; with lyric "stink kind in my head...stink kind all over my bed"; with solos by both Page and Fish. | |||||
