The Theme ------------------------------------------------------- Notes: - This source is nearly flawless. This is a must have for anyone with the slightest interest in Miles. There are two other sources I found that circulatate, LL126, and LL127. Both are basically identical in sound. LL126 is shn (not seekable) and LL127 has SBE's. For these reasons alone, this is the superior source. - As Peter explains below, Agitiation and Footprints were played on this date, but are missing from this source. - "Agitation" and "Footprints" were not broadcast and do not appear on any issued recordings of this date. The opening ascending run and set-up for the theme to "'Round Midnight" is missing on JMY and Golden Age of Jazz. In addition, the tunes are wrongly indexed on JMY: 1. 'Round Midnight (8:05); 2. No Blues (13:05); 3. Mascalero [sic] (8:40); 4. I Fall in Love Too Easily (9:00); 5. Riot (5:30); 6. Walkin' (9:40); 7. On Green Dolphin Street (16:50); 8. The Theme (0:40)."- Credit to Peter Losin, http://www.plosin.com/ - QC done by Bgreen

Carpenter) 09:10 07 On Green Dolphin Street (N. Washington-B. Kaper) 09:04 08 The Theme (M. Davis) 08:23 Here's the actual show: November 6, 1967 (8 items, 1:12:28) Salle Pleyel, Paris ORTF radio broadcast Miles Davis Quintet Miles Davis (tpt) Wayne Shorter (ts) Herbie Hancock (p) Ron Carter (b) Tony Williams (d) Track listing agrees with the above. According to Jan Lohmann, two titles were performed before "'Round Midnight" but not broadcast: Agitation (8:04); Footprints (10:24) Seeder's notes: I remarked tracks 7 and 8 to reflect the times for the above bootleg. Not sure if this if a copy of the above bootleg because of mismarked division of tracks 7 & 8. [email protected]
