Notes: Latvala's comments on this night "The show on the following night (11/19) is one of the most exciting shows over-all, from this southern tour. There is a "jam" segment before "Miss.1/2 step..", that contains several distinct, and very unique themes, including the "philo stomp", "weather report" theme, a brain-fry, and a very lengthy bass solo! " Sound wise - Phil is too high in the mix on many songs, per info file Bertha is hosed as they futz with the mix. Check out the first song they jam on in set 1 - Bird Song to hear how it started to develop as a jamming song esp. Bobby's wah-wah. The Dark Star is not one of the greats. Too much feedback jamming that doesn't seem to go anywhere or sound unique. Phil's bass solo's are typically fence straddlers - notes aren't held long eneough to investigate the bass "sound" yet too fast for non-thematic jamming, at least to me, although when the solo stops and they converge on the WRSPrelude theme it did attract my attention. The Sugar Mag > GDTRFB is very well played.

Notes: sbd - Dave Winters seed - [2006-01-06] Previous review is still valid but the wah-wah ref should be to Keith I believe. Should be on the must hear once list. Tight playing throughout.
