Notes: sbd [2007-04-15]Listened to this at work and was surprised that the song that stood out to me was GSET especially Keith's stride like piano playing. However, I wasn't that impressed by the big jam section. So I went to the archive to see what other's thought and here are some comments that seemed aligned with my experience: "Though not as jam intensive as 1974 shows with Dark Stars or Other Ones, the Playin is VERY decent, and the Nobody's Fault Jam into Eyes may be the best of the year. A good show to take in your car......The UJB-like segue from China>Rider made its debut in a spring 1973 show (5/26/73 is really cool)...and survived through the 5 night Winterland run in 10/74. Although it is in a totally different key than UJB, it has that sort of groove to it. Anyway, this one is just OK. IMO, the best ever UJB-like segue jam is 2/24/74 Winterland! Damn! Jerry's tone is just crystal clear and in your face...he really nails it with a special touch this night! The one on the bonus disc from the movie does not touch 2/24/74. This show is good...but it does not touch 2/24/74, 5/19/74, 6/18/74, 10/74 Winterland run (especially 10/19/74), or any show from Nov-Dec 73!....Yea, it's not real jam heavy, but the performance is pretty damn good. I've only given 4 stars because comparing it with other GREAT '74 shows this is how it comes up in my book......I love how you guys use words descriptive terms like "sick" or "ridiculous." Let me say that this Playin'in the Band is SICK! It's RIDICULOUS!" So I don't put this on the must hear list but if you do, it will be a pleasant experience.

Audience is presnet but generally respectful. PITB (~23 minute version) is the highlight of this mostly set 1 material recording.
