Notes: SEEDER'S Notes: As of Dec. 2002, this show is the earliest audience recording to surface. There may be others, hopefully, there will be. The recording itself is not so bad. Decent levels & all but it is a little bit muffled. However, this was definitely transferred from a cassette of unknown generation to a CDR. Somewhere, there may be a slightly better recording generation but only this version has surfaced onto CD. The performance itself is very raw, loud & (a little) angry. There are a few cuts, skips, track transitions & also a liberal amount of tape-hiss to coat the recording -- for those reasons, this may be considered best left for collector's. On the other hand, I think every fan should hear just how good this band is when they were unknown & playing for maybe 50 attentive people. From here, they can only go up in the music business. Also, I think that the most amazing performance of Sweat -ever- is on this recording...Also, the audience does not really seem to like Tool very much at all. A bit hostile, you can hear people chatting about the band. Maynardism: "I love Boston."

Notes: This is one of the ( if not the) first ever recorded Tool show by an Audience. It was recorded on Cassette tape so the quality is definately not at all like the Tool shows that you normally hear. But for a collector it is something to definately have.

Notes: This one is for the die-hards. Sounds like crap by most standards, but this is the earliest known TOOL recording around...at least as of 10-03

NOTE: This is the earliest known recording of a TOOL show. The sound is not great...it sounds like an old, bad record. It's distant and scratchy with pops and clicks and quite a bit of hiss. However there are some notable things about TOOL's performance. Most notable is the fact that Maynard stops the playing of Sober about 1:30 in so he can stop a fight in the crowd. Then they pick the song back up like nothing had happened. He also says something to someone in the crowd right in the middle of Swamp Song. Lastly, Sweat features an intro count of "One, two, three!" by Danny, Ramones style.
