Decent recording. The crowd noise can be a bit much at times -- but they had been waiting for hours for the boys to be released from jail in Rhode Island, so I give 'em a break. Good show. Includes encore of Honky Tonk Women, which was rarely played on the '72 tour. |

Notes: |
"MaloneyJoe Archive" #18 - seeded to DIME May 2005; the famous show that was originally held up by Keith's arrest at Green Airport in Providence, RI for attacking a photographer. As the crowd grew restless, Boston's mayor intervened and arranged a police escort from Rhode Island up to Boston; the show started hours late. tape confirms "YCAGWYW" was played at this show |

Silver disc > CDR > wav (EAC) > shn (mkw) |
Notes: |
This legendary show started four hours late because Mick and Keith were arrested earlier that day for assaulting a newspaper photographer (there are variuos comments about the same from the stage). Nevertheless, the performance is solid and the patient crowd gets rewarded with a rare "Honky Tonk Women" encore.
The sound is clear, slightly murred by the arena acoustics but very good overall. |
