James Easter (1/0) FLAC / 1 View   REMASTERED
Notes: REMASTERED BY: KEITHER JAMES Finished June 3rd, 2005 3am ORIGIALLY UPPED BY: ZEP75 CONSENT WAS PERSONALLY GIVEN BY ZEP75 FOR ME TO REMASTER THIS AND TO REPOST THE REMASTER FOR WHICH WE ARE ALL VERY GREATFULL! TAPED LIVE AT THE RAH BY TRATTY Oh my, finally finished this re-master!!! Probably spent atleast 40hours+ on it and it is now quite listenable. The remastering was done on Abode Audition 1.5 (formally Cool Edit Pro) and consists of: 1. Repair clipping (max) whith decrease in volume to -12db (this allows for maximum cip restoration) 2. Noise reduction (taken from a sample of noise (inverted from song) to a max of -3.69db 3. A bass boost and a treble boost to what i manaually considered the best levels without distortion 4. Manually went through each song and deleted noises, clicks and hiss by magnifying the waveform from 100% to 800% taking special care to leave the song itself intact (max of .12 sec in any given part of the song) At the end of a couple of the songs there is a person whistling which greatly distorted the recording. He was edited out where possible without making an audiable distinction of edit being heard (tricky stuff!!). 5. Waveforms amplified to max with a normalization where clipping for both the left and right waveform is zero percent and a max of -3bd ensuring absolutly no more clipping or loss of waveform ;-) 6. Pressed Rat and worthog has been seperated to its own track as it was joined to 'Outside Woman Blues' 7. The 2 sec gap at the end of disk 1 has been removed and the song faded out for your CD listening pleasure ;-) Obviously there is some high end loss, but hey, its quite a good trade off as far as im concerned as atleast you can listen to it now!! Not as good as quality as the posted 3rd, and 5th concet nights as at the end of the day i could only work with what i had. In my opinion, this remaster of the 2nd is now the best it can possibly sound. Spoonfull was the hardest to do as the noise was terrible, however it came out really good (as they all did) This night has 'sleepy time time' and 'spoonful' as cream at their best!! I would be surprised if these versions were not on the DVD which will be released in Oct 2005 A massive thanks to the patience of my girlfirend; remastering this in 2 weeks has been a BIG job and very time consuming. But as i am a massive cream fan well worth it. I play lead guitar and have written out note for note alot of the live solos from their old days, so for me, these concerts mean alot. Lets pray for an album or a world tour!! LONG LIVE THE CREAM!!!!!! KEITHER JAMES ;-) June 3rd, 2005 (see my note at bottom of page) Original note by ZEP75 (edited/updated for this remaster by Keither James) Setlist Cream - Monday May 2, 2005 I'm So Glad Spoonful Outside Woman Blues Pressed Rat and Wart Hog Sleepy Time, Time NSU Badge Politician Sweet Wine Rollin' & Tumblin' Stormy Monday Deserted Cities of the Heart Born Under a Bad Sign We're Going Wrong Crossroads Sitting on Top of the World White Room Toad Sunshine of Your Love (Encore) Eric Clapton Gtr Vocals Jack Bruce Bass Vocals harmonica Ginger Baker DruMs Vocals The Taper Tratty was in the P circle, up high on the side & over the stage but behind the main speakers Rec Minidisc recorder Sony MZ-NH700 set on sp2 (unknown Mic) - Hard Disk - Cdr - EAC Secure Mode - Flac level 8 - Hard Disk - - Wav(lossless) - REMASTERED using AUDITION 1.5(formally Cool Edit Pro) - Flac level 8 ****EDIT SEE BELOW**** As I received the discs, Deserted cities of the heart had a 2 sec gap at the end. So to remove that annoyance i have made this the last track on disc 1 instead of the first track disc 2 which is how i got it - ZEP75 ******The 2 sec gap is fixed and since Cdcovers were kindly made up by someone who posted them to Zep75's thread i left track 12 on disk one out of respect for their hard work making the included Cdcovers ;-) AGAIN, A MASSIVE THANKS TO ZEP75 FOR ALLOWING ME TO POST MY REMASTER, MASSIVE THANKS TO TRATTY WHO RECORDED THIS AND GAVE A COPY TO ZEP75 MASSIVE THANKS TO MY GIRLFRIEND WHILE I SPENT THE 2 WEEKS AND 40 HOURS DOING THIS REMASTER MASSIVE THANKS TO ALL THE ENCOURAGEMENT, IDEAS, AND HELP AT ZEP75's THREAD REGARDING MY WORK IN THIS REMASTER. FOR MY HARD WORK ON THIS REMASTER ALL I ASK IN RETURN IS THAT YOU SEED THIS FOR A MASSIVE LENGTH OF TIME, AND THAT AFTER LISTENING TO THE CDS YOU PLEASE LEAVE AN EVALUATION OF MY REMASTERED WORK (If you have heard the original post un-remastered) SO THAT PEOPLE KNOW HOW THIS VERSION IS. THANKS AGAIN, KEITHER JAMES ;-)
