Notes: Al DiMeola grew up in New Jersey, dividing his time between guitar lessons and local salsa clubs. He was greatly influenced by jazz guitarist Larry Coryell, and enrolled at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where his marathon practice sessions are still spoken of in awe. At 19, after playing briefly with keyboardist Barry Miles, Di Meola was recruited by Chick Corea and played on three albums with Corea's group Return To Forever, including the Grammy-winning No Mystery. From there Di Meola was an immediate hit; he has since made 16 recordings which have sold six million copies and he's been the recipient of numerous distinguished awards. This is a great soundboard show. There are a couple of minor pops but other than that it is a terrific listen and from what I can ascertain it is one of the better Dimeola boots out there. Thanks so much for your generosity Ed
