Notes: Remaster by TheTooleMan January, 2005 - corrected speed of original torrented recording, which was slightly fast - removed gaps and a restart of the original tape in Thick as a Brick - reduced level of hum - EQ and dynamics processing - added tracks in long medleys This recording was downloaded here: http://www.easytree.org/torrents-details.php?id=18864 There are numerous commercial bootlegs of this show. This recording is the most complete one I've found, and appears to contain the entire concert. There are some tape tracking problems evident on all versions I have heard, which probably go back to the original recording or the master copy of it. This cannot be corrected and is still audible in this version. Tracks for this version: Disk 1 1. Introduction by Ian Anderson 2. My God (w. flute solo, incl. Soirée, By Kind Permission Of..., Bourée) 3. The Politics of Social Gatherings 4. Thick As A Brick 5. Aqualung 6. Introducing Martin Barre's New Suit 7. To Cry You A Song 8. The Next Song Is Called... 9. A New Day Yesterday Disc 2 1. Insane Asylum Introduction 2. Cross-Eyed Mary (w. drum solo) 3. And Now for a Couple of Old Favorites... 4. New and Unnamed and Played by Martin's New Suit 5. Hymn 43 6. Nothing Is Easy 7. Back from the Toilet 8. Wind up 9. Martin Barre's Solo 10. Locomotive Breath 11. Hard-Headed English General 12. Wind-Up (reprise) TheTooleMan, January 2005 Notes from my source recording follow. aud>cdrx>eac(secure)>wav>flac16 excellent- 1. My God (w. flute solo, incl. Soirée, By Kind Permission Of..., Bourée) 2. Thick As A Brick 3. Aqualung 4. To Cry You A Song disc 2 1. A New Day Yesterday 2. Cross-Eyed Mary (w. drum solo) 3. Hymn 43 > Nothing Is Easy 4. Wind up > Locomotive Breath > Hard-Headed English General > Wind-Up (reprise) this is not "A Blues For God" or any other known bootleg. it's rare in this form and should not be missed I got this 2 cd set about 4 years ago and was told that it was transfered from their own cassette or DAT - don't remember exactly. the reason they transfered it just for me was another rare show they couldn't find that I had. Before all this torrent business came around these shows were harder to come by. especially shows being hoarded by the tapers which is still going on today. I am sure this is the entire Essen show and not the Hannover show I also have the entire Hannover show and it is different after I compared them side by side. that is how I realised the mistake I had slip by me on the "A Blues For God" torrent. thanks to a group that mislabeled the show. hope this helps cheers
