Comment
Frequently listed as Jimi's apartment, various dates in 1968. All previous entries have been merged into this one.

This cd was an official CD that was only available if you purchased the book "Voodoo Child: The Illustrated Legend Of Jimi Hendrix". The book clearly states that these recordings were recorded in NYC around April of 1968; another session book pegs this date as April 12th.

The book was published by Penguin Books in the USA, England, Canada and New Zealand and was first published in 1995 but I think it's no longer in print. The book is more like a hard-bound comic book and If anyone wants to try tracking it down, the ISBN# is 0-670-86789-6.

Notes: (1s/1a) Jimi's analog rig. Supposedly from Jimi's apartment. (You can hear him flipping pages, the phone ringing, etc.) The vocals are 95% on the left channel, so if you just want to listen to the guitar, you're in luck! (#8)

Notes: 1 disc audio -- Jimi's home tapes. Some of the material he works on would end up on Electric Ladyland. Other tracks, like "Angel", were eventually released posthumously in a somewhat finished form.

Notes: Jimi solo practicing in his apt. Can hear Jimi turning pages of music and at one point can hear the phone ring. / Originally released as an acetate, this is reportedly recorded at Jimi's New York apartment sometime in late 1968.
