This is a pretty neat show, and has some variation in the '73 setlist with the inclusion of "Route 66" and a cool version of "It's All Over Now". The version of No Expectations is great. Mick Taylor as usual displays his skill as one of the finest guitarists ever, and Keef of course is no slacker either. Mick Jagger's then wife, Bianca, was from Nicaragua, and no doubt this would not have happened if not for this fact. On December 22, 1972, an earthquake destroyed Managua, the capital of Nicaragua. According to something I read the show raised $350,000 for Nicaraguan earthquake victims, and Mick Jagger reportedly added $150,000 of his own money to the total in May, 1973. Aside from a little vinyl crackle and some handclapping at times, this is a decent sounding audience recording. There is an intro to the first song, which I assume was done by the taper, where he states the subject matter of his tape. Pretty neat. For those interested, Mickboy is a true Stones fan who was inspired to remaster this recording after buying this very show on vinyl and thinking he could spruce it up a bit. I like it. He has also released quite a few great Stones related projects (and a couple of non-Stones) and I am happy to have made his aquaintance. Credits: Mickboy for providing the show and the taper of course, whoever he or she was.
