SBD/AUD : 2nd generation soundboard on cassette (RHTB edit) |
Notes: |
W/ Jean Luc Ponty
148.37 mn "~~ Newly unearthed 2nd gen SBD source !! ~~
We're very happy to present here a newly unearthed copy of the SBD version of this 1973 06 25 Sydney show,
including SBD sourced material missing in the previously circulating SBD version (Lagz source).
This source, known in the trade as the 'RHTB' edit is certified to be 2nd gen,
and includes for the first time a full SBD sourced version of Cosmik Debris, plus large SBD sourced fragments from the "Soundcheck" Blues and from Inca Roads.
Also, Montana here isn't affected by those bad sonic flaws (muffled and hissy right channel) as with previous SBD version.
This 2nd gen SBD source cuts off during the Farther O'Blivion violin solo,
but we can include the final part of the show from the previously seeded unknown gen SBD version (Lagz-Drew51-flambay).
Remaining portions (about 18 mins total), missing in both SBD sources, patched again with Aud source material (Murry-FTA-Overnitefreak).
The combined SBD source portion of this show now clocks in at about 130 min total.
Enjoy this upgrade to one of the most essential concert recordings in FZ history !! "
Complete with fills
from Lagz-Drew51-flambay (unknown gen) SBD version (117.51 min, SBD, A/A-)
and
from Murry-FTA-Overnitefreak Aud version (113.43 min, Aud, C/C-)

Sound quality is pretty good for the era. This is from the liberated boot "Mothers Down Under". Who'da thought Aussies would get this stuff? |
