Comment
Frequently listed as Jimi's apartment, various dates in 1968. All previous entries have been merged into this one.

This cd was an official CD that was only available if you purchased the book "Voodoo Child: The Illustrated Legend Of Jimi Hendrix". The book clearly states that these recordings were recorded in NYC around April of 1968; another session book pegs this date as April 12th.

The book was published by Penguin Books in the USA, England, Canada and New Zealand and was first published in 1995 but I think it's no longer in print. The book is more like a hard-bound comic book and If anyone wants to try tracking it down, the ISBN# is 0-670-86789-6.

Notes: THis is short but great. You are listening to Hendrix work out classic songs like voodoo chile in his apt. here is the info I got: <original setlist> Circa 1968 Hendrix's Apt in New York Source: Hendrix'sRig > EAC > SHN Originally released as an acetate, this is reportedly recorded at Jimi's New York apartment sometime in late 1968. This is a great rare find. You can hear Hendrix flipping the music pages as he practices. Unfortunately not much is known of this recording. If you have any more information please email me. This is a rare recording of great quality, so please treat it as so and DON'T ENCODE IT TO MP3. Enjoy and keep speading the tunes, Brian [email protected] <More New Info> From Dylan @ "jamz" email: dylan at ibiblio dot org In an email forwarded to the [email protected] mailing list, "Experience Hendrix, L.L.C"said that this concert was "authorized by the previous administration of the hendrix estate"and that it has been out of print for more than five years, and that no royalties are received from the sale of this show (it originally came with a book about hendrix as a bonus). So this should be O.K. to tradeHere is the correct setlist according to a post to the [email protected] mailing list: 1. 1983....(A Merman I Should Be) 07:45 2.
