Notes:
- d1t01: There is a small glitch at 1:17.
- d1t02: digi pop/ static burst at 6:47, 7:25
- d1t03: digi pop/ static burst at :25
- d1t04: digi pop/ static burst at :35, 1:14, 1:56, 2:27
- d1t05: digi pop/ static burst at :41, 1:08, 1:49, 2:15, 3:05
- d1t06: digi pop/ static burst at 2:19, 3:26, 15:51. Drop out at 3:44
- d1t07: digi pop/ static burst at :39, 1:58, 2:19, 3:46, 4:24, 4:41, 5:24
7:07, 8:46 . Drop outs at 3:14, 5:57
- There is a signifigant hiss in the recording. The volume level is very low
until about :51 in d1t01 when it increases. At about 7:56, there is a noticable
tapping noise in the left channelthat fades out at about 9:18.
- According to Peter Losin, there are a few other versions of this out there.
There is the original VARA 1969 broadcast, a BBC Radio rebroadcast, and a
digital XM broadcast. Both the BBC and the XM are supposed to be better in
quality than this one which I believe is the longer version described below.
The track timing are all I have to compare and none match any of the timings
provided by Peter at Miles Ahead.
- There are at least two older VARA broadcasts of this material. The longer one (A)
begins with a short studio introduction (titles are announced as "Directions," "
Listen to This," "About That Time," and "Masqualero"), and contains an incomplete
version of "Bitches Brew" (a splice at 8:27 excises 8:29-11:19 of complete version).
The shorter broadcast (B) is sonically better and includes a Michiel de Ruyter studio
introduction (0:51 -- titles announced as "Listen to This" and "About That Time");
Bitches Brew (12:36); I Fall in Love Too Easily (2:33); Sanctuary (3:55); It's About
That Time (3:59); closing announcement (0:16).- Credit to Peter Losin,

A So What CDR is mastered from the first broadcast (A), but the tracks are wrongly
indexed: 1. Introduction (0:12); 2. Directions (9:51); 3. Bitches Brew (9:44); 4.
I Fall in Love Too Easily (2:36); 5. Sanctuary (4:02); 6. It's About That Time (16:58);
7. Masqualero (14:49)."- Credit to Peter Losin, http://www.plosin.com/
