We have Assumed Control |
Notes: |
Here is a fine performance from the later part of the All the Worlds a Stage tour, and a great show we get. The sound here is actually good, but it lacks overall definition in the mids, and the bass is very muddy. There is some tape hiss and distortion, but it won't ruin your listening experience. The speed also runs a bit slow here, but I don't think that it kills my judgement of the performance, luckily. They give an amazing and very blistering version of "The Necromancer" which was only played on the 1977 portion of the 2112/All the Worlds a Stage tour. There aren't too many cuts, and none of them are too noticable if there are any, so thats lucky for us. |

The Digital Dan's comments:
"A fine performance from the "AtWaS" tour recorded live at the Lisner Auditorium in Washington DC on April 17, 1977. The set for this show follows the setlist of the official live album but does offer some interesting and rare performances of "Twilight Zone" and the "Necromancer". This recording is worth having for those songs alone. The source is an aged audience tape. The instruments are discernable, though the show is a bit muddy in the lower end. I spent nearly 36 hours remastering this show and have actually well improved the sound quality to make it a more enjoyable show to listen to. A worthy addition to any Rush collection. As with all Digital Reproductions recordings, it's only available via free trade and never for sale. Just visit the trading links section to find people that will gladly trade this recording for free. (1999-04-01)"
