Notes:
A very rare and uncirculated show (as of dec 2002) from Tool's headlining 94 tour. First 15 min or so is missing, because the taper was at another gig before this one. Sound is as on all S.D.'s recordings: just excellent. Even though this is 94 analogue recording and has a tiny tape hiss, it sounds amazingly good. Just excellent taping, not much more to say.
Feels a bit strange to hear Tool playing for a very small audience. Don't know how many people were here, but there's certainly not much crowd noise on this recording. Sounds like the show lacks a bit of energy, but Tool is really precise and the recording really captures that. I'm just glad this recording finally surfaced among with the others of S.D.'s tapings. It's really amazing that he taped 16 shows during 93/94 of a relatively unknown band and with such excellent results.
Has a small audience cut right after sober, but nothing big.

Notes: |
Crystal clear sound, and rich dynamics. This really struck me as stunning for an Undertow audience recording.
There is some slight high-end distortion at times and a few tape-generated flaws (tape eats) as it is cassette-sourced, but these are minor criticisms.
The taper arrived late so the first 3 songs are missing. |
