Comment
Recorded a month after the release of the "Boz Scaggs & Band" LP on Columbia. Very nice performance by Boz and his 8 piece band (at least on the album), including a horn section. The fifth cut is not a song; KSAN and the studio are having some problems so it includes mention of it, a short jam by the band and then Boz' pretty funny intro into "Monkey Time". It appears that there is more to this show based on Boz' comments after Runnin' Blue, but I don't know if anything else was ever aired on the radio.

Very nice performance by Boz and his 8 piece band (at least on the album), including a horn section. Track 105 is not a song but KSAN and the studio are having some problems so it includes mention of it, a short jam by the band and then Boz' pretty funny intro into "Monkey Time". I wanted to stay true to what it would have sounded like if you were listening live on KSAN back in the day. It appears that there is more to this show based on Boz' comments after Runnin' Blue, but I don't know if anything else was ever aired on the radio. As far as edits, I did re-track both discs. There were a whole bunch of pops, some static, and some useless silent parts to edit, although mostly not in the music. I tried to do the best I could with some track transitions. I did have to raise the volume in some parts but left the volume of the show overall alone. The source doesn't sound too generational.
