| Notes: | Elton John Live at the Hammersmith Odeon, London December 24, 1982 1st Generation FM Broadcast Quality -- A Source: FM Broadcast Lineage: BBC Broadcast>Maxell UDXLII Casette>WAV>FLAC This show has been posted before, although this version has 3 additional songs (The Bitch is Back, All's Quiet on the Western Front, and the closing Medley-Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' on/I Saw Her Standing There/Twist and Shout). In addition, this is a first generation recording. In the fall of 1982, a college friend (thanks Dave R.) spent a semester studying in London and recorded this for me when it was originally broadcast on the BBC.I have not heard the previous version that was posted (thanks Ryan for the original post), but based on the above facts I felt it was reasonable to assume that this is at least equal to what has been presented before, and has the extra tracks. I have also obtained the video of this show recently and will most likely be posting the DVD as well. This is an excellent performance, and has definately not been overdubbed (check out Davey's opening riff on Saturday Night's Alright, it is kind of painful!).
