Notes: Finally after many years of searching I managed to get ahold of the full audience recording of the very first European Megadeth gig. There have been lots of incomplete SBD's and I have the ultimate SBD version, which lacks some Dave's utterances and intro, but this one is full. The quality is more likely to be for completists or who attended that gig. It's a tape rip of unknown generation and evidently there's a cut at the tape flip point, which is Mechanics ~ 2:10. The quality worsens at that point considerably. Another interesting fact about this gig - it turns out they did not play My Last Words they as we originally thought considering the follow-up european dates' setlists. Something also happened in the middle of Peace Sells. The band does not play and crowd (at first happily chanting) bursts into "boo-woo"-ing.

Notes: This was a board recording, but the analog source has aged a bit. Still, nice sound, and a great performance. The show starts right at the beginning of Bad Omen, and ends right at the end of Black Friday. There's one gap before Good Mourning, and a small dropout during Bad Omen. The filler demos are a cool listen, but they seem to have been taken from a really old cassette. The fidelity at the beginning of Wake Up Dead is really bad, but impoves a few seconds into the song. Despite the gaffes, this is still a really cool taste of early Megadeth.

Edgar H (4/5) / 1 View   Transfer direct from FM master tape (original broadcast recording made 24/4/87 onto Maxell UDII...
Notes: The first two tracks of this were from a second broadcast and were spliced onto the beginning- slight edts, therefore- but sounds pretty good. All FM master material. Not a bad performance- I can't remember what it may have all been about (I vaguely remember references to it in the music press at the time), but some members of the crowd were evidently somewhat hostile- hence Dave's comments in the last track re: someone spitting at him. Track 3- one channel slightly cuts out for a second or two a couple of minutes in.
