Notes: The good news is that at least this comes from an FM broadcast but it really does not sound too great. I think it sounds cold and flat with some oversaturation when the big ensembles are firing. My suspicion is that rather than generations of cassettes in its lineage causing this, it's sounds more like it was recorded on poor equipment (ghetto blaster?) in 1978. That said, I must recommend this recording on the merits of it being a great & historical night of music with Chick at the helm. Plus- it's not easy to come across Chick performing pieces from his "Leprechaun" and "My Spanish Heart" albums live!

Notes: Three different sets featuring Chick Corea at the '78 Newport Jazz Festival at Lincoln Center, NYC. Tinny and hissy sound quality but listenable. Great stuff.
