Notes: Source: Soundboard (2nd gen) Lineage: cass > Nakamichi ZX-7 > Tascam HD-P2 > wav 24/96 > adobe Audition > Wavelab (with iZotope Ozone 4) > iZotope RX Advanced > wav 16/44.1 > CD Wave > TLH > Flac16 Notes: - this recording is slightly degraded in places - the first few few seconds of "Across The Great Divide" are missing - tape flip after "The Shape I'm In" crossfaded - probably no more than the last minute or so of "It Makes No Difference" is missing - there is a splice in "The Weight" at 2:53, not too much is missing - the tape was paused after a number of tracks , these have been smoothed out with crossfades Comments: A very solid performance and, although not quite complete, a nice show to have. One of Richard Manuel's last performances before he took his life in early March 1986. Keo's Comments: This is one I remember like it was yesterday, the show any way! This tape was gave to me by the bass player in a Grateful Dead cover band from my area, who were the opening act. His brother was doing sound for his band and was allowed to get a patch from the soundboard of The Band's set. The first generation was copied for me. Recorders are unknown to me and unfortunately I remember the TDK didn't hold up so well or the way my tape was recorded could have been better, buts its all I have for now. I will definitely try to look for a better copy but I know this is a very rare one with not to many copies of it around. Even so still a favorite of mine and very much looking forward to giving it a listen once cleaned up and digitalized! The venue was an old skating rink, DJ tower still in place where the soundboard was located and there could not have been more than 200 people there! --------------------------------------------------------- - Taped provided by Keo - Transfered by Bgreen - Edited by SIRMick - lmpp939 - First seeded to www.shnflac.net March 2009 - Brought To You By Live Music Preservation Project - contact [email protected] - www.livemusicpreservationproject.com

Notes: Good perf., small venue, some sound probs. on a few tunes. Not nearly enough to ruin this as a good one.
